1966 Harmony H162 Acoustic!
Vintage Grand Concert 000 Size!
This is really cool. You are looking at a Vintage 1966 Harmony H162 Flat Top Acoustic Guitar. We’re absolutely crazy about these old harmony acoustics, and this "Grand Concert" size has to be the biggest sounding ladder-braced acoustic we’ve ever heard! Boomy lows with a rich mid-range, this one holds its own against some of our Gibson flat tops!
From The 1966 Harmony Catalog:
MAHOGANY WITH RESONANT SPRUCE TOP
Grand Concert Size. Back and sides of selected quality mahogany; top of resonant spruce. Soundhole, top and back edges are celluloid bound, with inlay. Durable natural color eggshell lacquer finish. Ovalled rosewood fingerboard. Rosewood bridge, with bone saddle. Steel reinforced hardwood neck. Shell celluloid pick guard. Excellent tone quality.
H162s like this guy are just plain fun and share the sort of big, airy Harmony sound but with more focus on crunchy mids and crisp sustain. It's a great sound for country-blues, folk, and heavy-handed rhythm players who need to de-mud themselves.
Overall length is 40 1/2 in. (102.9 cm.), 15 1/4 in. (38.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 7/8 in. (9.8 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 in. (635 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). A very nice example of one of Harmony's 1950's and '60's mainstays, the spruce top H-162.
Our Luthier did a neck reset on this H162. This is very common for these guitars at this age. A complete setup was done as well as brand new strings. Neck is Dead On Straight. You will not have to spend any additional monies on this guitar. Gig ready on Arrival!
This is an excellent gigging guitar. Between the quality woods and the professional setup with neck reset, this is a great guitar for a performing artist. Very rich and bright sounding. Really good sound projection.

Affordable USA Vintage!
Cosmetics: Good Condition. Keep in mind that this is a 51+ year old vintage acoustic. Lacquer checking all over the front of the guitar. There are scratches, chips, dings and dents on both sides of the body. Some cracks in the binding. Still solid and tight. There was a sticker just below the bridge about 4" x 3" that has been removed. The wood there has not faded, so the finish is brighter in that spot. The back has typical minor belt buckle rash. The back of the neck has some dings. Headstock has some scratches around the edges. Fretboard in great shape. Very Authentic. The wear is what gives this Harmony it's charm. Dripping with "Mojo" It is used. Not perfect. Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
